Angela Henning, PT, Cert MDT, CCS, CFPS, AACVPR is a licensed PT with an extensive history treating critically or chronically ill patients. Angie received a BS in biology from Centre College in 2000 prior to receiving a BHsc and a masters from the University of Kentucky in 2003. She is a long-standing APTA member serving on state and national committees. In her clinical experience, she has worked with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in various outpatient, acute care or ICU units, and specialty clinic settings. Her goal is to utilize her experience to holistically treat patients and to educate students and fellow staff to meet patients where they are. She furthered her specialization by becoming a cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist from ABPTS in 2019. She is also certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment, an Otago exercise program registrant, and an AACVPR pulmonary rehab certificate holder. She assisted her department and hospital in protocol development, annual competency, and new hire training in her specialization. She has co- authored posters and papers with relevance to mobility and treatment practices in a CVICU, pre- transplant listing criteria, ECMO mobility, and frailty in transplant patients. Angie has co-presented at the local, state and national level. She has served as a regular guest lecturer at UK's PT program speaking on topics related to acute care as well as cardiovascular and pulmonary PT.
