Bill Meritt, PT, Cert. DN, FAAOMPT has been a practicing physical therapist for over 20 years. He has earned Fellow status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and was previously recognized as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. He is the owner of Catalyst Athletic Rehab and Performance in Cornelius, NC, which specializes in treating athletes and active individuals by utilizing manual therapy and exercise to help his patients regain movement quickly in order to foster independence and have more efficient outcomes. He earned his manual therapy fellowship through The Manual Therapy Institute, completing his clinical hours at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Meritt is also certified in dry needling (Cert. DN) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Bill's continuing education teaching has focused on the use of mobilization and manipulation of the spine and extremities as a component of patient care.
Bill earned his MPT at the University of North Carolina, after completing his BA in Biology at Taylor University in Indiana, where he was recognized as Academic All-America while playing on the football team. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy section of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
