Caitlin Pinciotti

Dr. Caitlin Pinciotti, Ph.D., ACERP, CERP-P is a Licensed Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a Trauma Psychology focus at Northern Illinois University. She received training in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) from national trainers at the VA. She completed her pre-doctoral residency and post-doctoral fellowship at Rogers Behavioral Health, working primarily on the adult residential OCD and anxiety unit while also supporting other units, including the Trauma Recovery partial hospitalization program. In these roles, she worked to train the OCD residential staff in trauma-focused care, including training and supervising the behavioral specialists and therapists in PE therapy within the context of intensive OCD treatment. Dr. Pinciotti has treated individuals with OCD and trauma at all levels of care, ranging from community and VA outpatient clinics to PHP/IOP and residential treatment. She serves as Co-Chair of the International OCD Foundation Trauma and PTSD in OCD Special Interest Group and is the Chair of the Special Interest Group's Science and Research Committee. Dr. Pinciotti's research focuses on the assessment, conceptualization, and treatment of OCD, trauma, and PTSD, in particular when these conditions and experiences intersect. She has given 38 conference presentations and published 43 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on these topics.
