Danielle Carey MS, CCC-SLP, COM® has been a practicing speech-language pathologist over the last 12 years. During the early years of her career, Danielle worked in rehabilitation centers and hospitals. Over the last nine years, she has worked within private practices. Currently, Danielle is working at NC Tongue Tie Center with Dr. Ray Tseng, providing myofunctional, feeding, and speech therapy services to infants through adults. Danielle has built a multidisciplinary team including dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, allergists, pediatricians, and other clinicians (ST, OT, PT).The improved awareness from related providers has resulted in a surplus of referrals. Danielle is a Board-Certified Orofacial Myologist™, granted by the International Association of Orofacial Myology. She has achieved the following specialty training: TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training, Basic DIR/Floortime Certification, recognized by Apraxia Kids as having advanced training in Childhood Apraxia of speech, VitalStim Certification, and SOS Approach to Feeding. Danielle is a member of ASHA, ICAP, and the IAOM. Danielle is passionate about providing individualized, neurodiverse affirming care to all clients.
