Dr. Darren Smith, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist with 18 years of clinical experience specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation. Over the course of his career, he has delivered patient-centered care across a wide range of healthcare environments and has contributed to the profession through national-level professional education. For the past 13 years, Dr. Smith has served as a Health System Director of Rehabilitation Services, providing strategic and operational leadership for multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams. He holds multiple advanced certifications across a variety of therapeutic techniques, enabling him to integrate specialized, research-informed approaches that optimize functional recovery and long-term patient success. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Truman State University and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Smith remains committed to advancing rehabilitation practice through innovation, education, leadership, and evidence-based care.
