
Gina W Karr, PT, ScD has 27 years of experience as an outpatient therapist. Due to her passion for treating patients with head and neck pain, in 2012 she sought out special training for the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. She became certified in Dry Needling in 2014 and has found it to be a powerful tool for treating a wide range of patient populations. From 2012 to 2024, she was director of adult services for a busy, non-profit therapy clinic and was responsible for talent acquisition and mentoring of OTs, PTs and SLPs. She is passionate about her profession and the wide variety of opportunities physical therapists can and should be utilized for in the healthcare and wellness fields. She grasps opportunities to provide education to other healthcare providers and the general public on topics ranging from dry needling, osteoporosis, back safety, and TMD. She has been an adjunct professor since 2012 and a member of the APTA since 1997.
