Jennifer DeFeo, PhD, is a distinguished professor of Psychology whom is noted as one of the leading experts of the DSM-5 and ICD-10, both nationally and internationally. Dr. DeFeo specializes in working with severely mentally ill populations including at-risk youth, children and adolescents, and gang populations. Dr. DeFeo has managed multiple youth and family agencies that focused on at-risk youth and families involved with the Department of Probation, Juvenile Hall, the Department of Children and Family Services, and the Department of Mental Health in the state of California, Florida, and New York. She holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy) and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, and is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. Dr. DeFeo has conducted over 250 trainings, both nationally and internationally, on the DSM-5, At-risk youth, Evidence-Based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults, LGBT identity development, Neuropsychology, and Adolescent and Adult Male Mental Health. She has been published in prominent psychological journals such as the Journal of Psychiatry, and the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse.
