Katie Brown, OTD, OTR/L, BCG is a board-certified geriatric occupational therapist with over a decade of clinical experience specializing in adult and older adult populations. She holds a Post- Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Baylor University and currently serves as an adjunct instructor, teaching lab immersions on neuroscience, human movement, and occupational therapy interventions for aging populations. Dr. Brown has extensive experience in home health and skilled nursing settings, with clinical expertise in physical, neurological, and cognitive rehabilitation-including dementia care. Her recent doctoral research focused on the integration of manual therapy techniques to improve pulmonary function in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), reflecting her commitment to advancing evidence-based practice in occupational therapy. She is a dedicated educator and clinician who advocates for holistic, interdisciplinary care to enhance quality of life and promote aging in place.
