Dr. Kaitlin Brown, SLPD, CCC-SLP is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who has been practicing for nine years. Kaitlin obtained her doctorate in speech-language pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2020. She has worked in a variety of settings from adult medical to pediatric outpatient and a little of everything in between. However, her passion lies in pediatrics. She specializes in AAC and pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders. Kaitlin has worked the last seven years in both pediatric private practices and school settings helping children and families navigate difficult behaviors, target early language development, implement the use of functional communication skills, and improve feeding and swallowing abilities. She has taught a variety of continuing education courses in the areas of pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders and AAC. Kaitlin is an assistant professor at Brescia University and the assistant practicum coordinator. She also serves as an adjunct professor for Western Kentucky University. Kaitlin has assisted in the development, launch, and implementation of a pediatric intensive feeding clinic and has co-developed a functional communication program for the local school district. She also serves as a committee member for Capstone Projects in the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology program.
