Nisha Sanghvi

OTR/L

Nisha S. Sanghvi, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist with 25 years of pediatric experience across hospitals, clinics, schools, and home/community-based settings. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, she also holds a certificate in Infant Mental Health from the Erikson Institute. As a Professional Development Consultant, Nisha designs and delivers evidence-informed, interdisciplinary learning experiences for practitioners across disciplines. Her relationship-based, culturally responsive approach empowers caregivers to observe, attune, and respond to their child's cues, fostering meaningful engagement, participation, and family well-being in everyday activities and routines. Nisha is deeply committed to advancing systemic change, partnering with stakeholders at the local, state, national, and international levels to elevate diverse perspectives, address barriers, and strengthen equitable, sustainable systems of care. Her work is grounded in neuroscience, reflective practice, and the power of interdisciplinary collaboration to strengthen a confident, supported, and effective workforce. Nisha is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Illinois Occupational Therapy Association (ILOTA), and the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children. Across all roles, she strives to build caregiver capacity, promote developmental engagement, and contribute to high- quality, inclusive services for young children and their families.
