Ryan Daywalt, PT, MPT, has been a physical therapist for 17 years and currently practices in the inpatient rehab setting with Encompass Health. Ryan received his bachelor's and master's degrees in physical therapy from the University of Evansville. Throughout his career, he has worked primarily with orthopedic, trauma, and spinal cord injured patients. Ryan has worked in both the acute care and inpatient rehab settings, treating patients throughout the continuum of care. Ryan has received specialized training in wound care and safe patient handling and mobility. For the past 13 years, Ryan has worked as an instructor and content developer for spinal cord injury courses. He has taught both introductory and advanced spinal cord injury learning experiences for OTs, STs, RNs, and PTs in dozens of hospitals around the country. Ryan enjoys traveling and teaching, as well as guest lecturing in the University of Evansville's DPT program. As the son of a paraplegic father, Ryan brings a unique perspective to his courses, combining both clinical expertise and real-world experience.
