Shannon La Spina, PT, DPT, PCS, CIMPT is a staff physical therapist working in a hospital-based outpatient setting using both the intensive and episodic models of care. She is a graduate of the VA Leadership Excellence in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities fellowship program through Virginia Commonwealth University and has specialized experience in pediatric gait analysis and working with patients in a wide variety of ages and ability levels.
Shannon has 17 years of experience in both pediatrics and adult orthopedics and is dually certified as a Board-Certified Pediatric Specialist and a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist. Shannon has presented at numerous community presentations and professional conferences, including the National Arthrogryposis Conference, and has written for PT Products Magazine and Rehab Management. Shannon has served as a guest lecturer and lab assistant for her local PT and PTA programs, held VPTA district leadership positions, and is an active member and certified clinical instructor through the APTA.
