Victoria Wood, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist who has been practicing in pediatric settings including home health, daycare, schools, outpatient clinics, and inpatient rehab for over 25 years. She is currently an occupational therapist in a large school-based setting outside of Charleston, SC with a caseload of over 100 students. Along with treating patients, Victoria has been a Summit faculty lecturer/educator teaching courses on various topics relating to pediatric therapy such as picky eating, sensory processing disorder over the lifespan, virtual autism and the dangers of too much electronics, canine assisted therapy, handwriting, behavior, and sensory diets. She enjoys teaching others and is confident with public speaking skills. As a teacher she receives five-star ratings from the students. Victoria is certified in therapeutic listening, SOS trained, Beckman Oral Motor trained, and has taken over 40 continuing education courses. She has supervised more than 15 graduate level students and over 25 undergraduate students. In addition to her job as an Occupational Therapist, Victoria is a content provider for the website The OT Toolbox. In December 2019 her first book was published. This is a much-needed resource for anyone working with people with sensory processing disorder. When not working, Victoria and her husband spend as much time outside as possible. You can see her driving around town in a red Mini Cooper convertible, taking a boat ride to the Charleston Harbor, or heading to the beach. Victoria is happily married, has two grown daughters, two almost grown stepsons, dogs Polly and Wrigley, and a new grandson.
