Yes. At least 4 of the 30 CE hours must cover Georgia Ethics and Jurisprudence. You can meet this by taking an approved course or by passing the Georgia Ethics and Jurisprudence Assessment (GA-JAM), as long as you haven’t used that exam result before.

The required course must be offered by a Georgia college or university with a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program or by a provider holding a current PTAG approval.

Georgia does not require a specific number of live hours. Online and instructor-led courses are accepted.

Accepted CE activities include approved courses, workshops, teaching, presenting, authorship, and peer review (each with certain limits). Activities such as in-service training, policy meetings, recreational meetings, and CPR courses by themselves do not count.

No. All CE hours must be earned within the current two-year renewal period.

Not necessarily. If you graduated and passed the national exam during the current biennium, or if you were licensed in the last six months of the renewal cycle, you are typically exempt from CE requirements for that period. Review your board rules for more details.
