CE Course Subscriptions & Digital Access Products

Overview

Summit Professional Education (“Summit”) provides digital educational products and subscription-based access to online courses, live virtual programs, and in-person training events. Because access to digital content is provided immediately upon purchase, refund eligibility is limited as outlined below.

This policy applies to all applicable purchases made at:

Refund Eligibility

A full refund is available only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The cancellation request is submitted within 30 days of purchase or renewal.
  • The customer has not completed any course.
  • The customer has not taken any exam.
  • No CE credit has been earned or reported.

Non-Refundable Conditions

A purchase becomes non-refundable once any of the following occur:

  • A course is completed.
  • A test or assessment is taken for CE credit.
  • CE credit is earned or reported.
  • The 30-day refund window has passed.

Auto-Renewals

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled prior to renewal.
  • A renewal term may be canceled within 30 days of renewal for a full refund only if no courses have been completed and no CE credits have been earned during the renewal period.
  • Refunds are not available after course completion or CE credit usage.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Non-Subscription / Single-Purchase Products

Summit Professional Education (“Summit”) offers one-time purchase educational products, including online courses, live virtual programs, webinars, and in-person training events. Due to the digital nature of these products, refund eligibility is limited as outlined below.

Digital Courses & Online Programs

Learner-Initiated Cancellation

  • Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if the course has not been completed and no CE credit has been earned.
  • Once a course is completed or CE credit is earned, the purchase becomes non-refundable.

 

Provider-Initiated Cancellation or Discontinuation

In the event that Summit cancels or discontinues access to a digital course or online program, affected participants will be offered one of the following:

  • Access to an alternative course of equivalent length and format,

  • A credit applied to their Summit account for the purchase price of that individual course, or
  • A full refund of the purchase price of that individual course.

Note: Individual course refunds or credits are not available for courses added to a Summit Subscription order.

Refunds will be processed within ten (10) business days of the participant’s refund request and returned to the original form of payment.

Live Courses, Workshops & Events

Learner-Initiated Cancellation

  • Substitutions may be made at any time.
  • For single-purchase live courses or workshops, cancellation requests must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the event to receive a refund less a $20 administrative fee per canceled attendee.
  • Cancellations made within ten (10) days of the event are non-refundable.
  • In place of a refund, a credit for the original dollar amount paid will be issued.
  • Credits may be applied toward any Summit product and expire one (1) year from issuance.

 

Provider-Initiated Cancellation or Rescheduling

Should Summit cancel or reschedule a live course, workshop, or event, registered participants will be offered one of the following:

  • Transfer of registration to an alternative course of equivalent length and format,

  • A credit applied to their Summit account for the purchase price of that individual course, or
  • A full refund of the purchase price of that individual course.

Live Webinars & Live Stream Courses

Learner-Initiated Cancellation

  • Cancellation requests must be received prior to the course start date.
  • If a cancellation request is made after the course date, a credit for the original dollar amount paid will be issued.
  • Credits may be applied toward any Summit product and expire one (1) year from issuance.

 

Provider-Initiated Cancellation or Rescheduling

Should Summit cancel or reschedule a live webinar or live stream course, registered participants will be offered one of the following:

  • Transfer of registration to an alternative session of equivalent length and format,

  • A credit applied to their Summit account for the purchase price of that individual course, or
  • A full refund of the purchase price of that individual course.
