topics-author-1 Geoff Mosley, PT, DPT, NCS

We'll jump right in to stroke content immediately following the welcome event. This is a combined session for both PT(A)s and OT(A)s. Stroke rehabilitation has undergone a tremendous evolution over the past 20+ years. Understanding how we got to where we are, as well as what the latest developments tell us about the current and future directions of our field can inform us on how to think about why certain interventions work well while others never seem to be fruitful. The latest research in motor learning and neuroscience continue to open our eyes to the power of not just what we do, but how we and the patient do it. This can greatly impact outcomes and make the limited resource of therapy time much more beneficial. Attendees will gain a better knowledge of the current state of neurorehabilitation and what's on the horizon.
