Additional Information

Edemas are present throughout all areas of rehabilitation practice. Often, as therapy practitioners, we are the first to identify new onset edemas and we are charged with determining if our client's edema is a medical emergency. Additional responsibility then lies with providing safe and effective treatment techniques utilizing evidence-based outcome measures for effective and reimbursable documentation.

This course will assist practitioners to determine the medical status of edemas, the various types of edemas that can be seen throughout practice settings, and effectivetreatment techniques for edema resolution or management. Participants will also take away several outcome measures that they can immediately start using with their clients to assist with determining progress and documenting client outcomes.

as a person with a hearing impairment, i rely heavily on closed captioning. i noted that for this particular course, and other recorded courses as well, i noticed that the subtitles are not accurate, are not correctly timed, and don't follow the audio sequentially. since i was unable to rely on the captioning, i had to rely on the audio alone. i struggled with understanding the presenter, as i personally was hearing echo the whole time. i feel that the presenters of these courses may benefit from using a microphone that is separate from the ones built into the desktop\/laptops they are using.
