Additional Information

Early intervention services support the development of children during a critical time of brain development with support of self-regulation. It is important to understand typicaldevelopment, identify areas of need and embed evidence-based strategies into everyday routines. It is critical to address priorities identified by the family, using a strength- based approach and team collaboration. It is imperative to empower parents and caregivers to read child cues, facilitate appropriate strategies with understanding and consistency to promote independence and success.

This course will provide best practices for providing effective early intervention services in natural environments. Participants will identify red flags within early childhood development. Participants will also learn ways to support the development of foundational skills to improve function with daily routines. Evidence-based strategies will be reviewed to help strengthen the neuro sensory-motor pathways. Participants will leave this course knowing how to develop acollaborative treatment plan to support patients and empowerparents and caregivers.

wonderful information. soooooo much to understand in such a short time. presenter provided super information and references. often not able to read the information on the screen or in the manual. an enormous amount of work to do after the presentation. 3 hrs may have been a more relaxing way of learning rather than feeling it was rushed. thank you.
