Differential Diagnosis and Conceptual Framework to Improve Pediatric Motor Disorders
Price:$219.99
In a recent study of pediatric physical therapists, 77% of therapists report using functional classification systems but only 42% report using them consistently for clinical decision making. Establishing the use of functional classification through proper assessment of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders can greatly improve consistency of care, preciseness with longitudinal plans of care, and communication across the interdisciplinary team. With the rise of value-based health care, therapists are now being challenged to define what they do and demonstrate consistent results in their care plans.
This workshop will teach participants how to use assessment techniques to assign functional classification profiles to children with motor disorders and integrate these profiles into treatment plans. This workshop will use interactive video case studies of children with neurodevelopmental disorders to develop effective plans of care that optimize progressive developmental potential across the lifespan. Participants will be actively engaged in assessment and treatment strategies through interactivesessions that focus on applying techniques discussed tocreate measurable results in children. Upon returning to their practice setting participants will be able to immediately integrate the functional profiles into their plans of care and begin to teach others in their setting how to use them.
*Hands on lab will be modified for Web based delivery formats into recorded demonstrations

course info was great. i did learn, however, that i'm not a fan of trying to skip through the "wait periods" for participants in the original live webinar to work in groups or respond to questions, take a vote, etc.
