Essentials for Assessing and Treating the Pediatric Orthopedic and Sports Patient
Naperville, IL - Apr 25, 2026 (8:00 AM to 3:30 PM US/Central)
Price:$299.99
Treating our pediatric population more effectively not only allows us to alleviate their pain and return them back to activities quicker, but it also helps us make them better movers into their adult years. There are many differences that are easily noticed between the adult and pediatric population. It is essential that health care providers know all the ins and outs of their pediatric population to ensure they are giving the safest and most effective care. The pediatric patient has many variables to consider, including the ever-changing musculoskeletal system and the developing psychosocial system that play a major role in their healthcare.
This workshop will equip attendees with the latest evidence-based evaluation and treatment skills needed to effectively treat their pediatric patients. Lecture sessions willhighlight the essentials that clinicians need when working with pediatric spine, upper extremity, and lower extremity patients. Special focus will be placed on lab sessions, which will equip attendees with tools for assessing and treating patients when they return to the clinic the next day.
*Hands on lab will be modified for Web based delivery formats into recorded demonstrations
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers

great course %26 instructor! however, would you please ask your instructors to not use light colored texts in their power points. i print off the manuals (pdf) so that i can take notes during the course. i spend a lot of time writing the text out by hand because many of the colors are too light to print. eric's slides, toward the end of the presentation were like this. other instructors do this too and it is a bit frustrating.

the instructor was excellent. the content was excellent. the videography was poor and the lower right corner picture was most of the time illegible due to blurry. this means we couldn't see what he was pointing at most of the time so a lot information was missed especially when he pointed to things he thought we could see and said "this," "here," etc. i wonder how i am going to do on the test!! no matter how many times i review, i still cannot see very many of the slide visuals. i have spent many extra hours trying to see things. zooming in doesn't work.
