The Impact of Oral and Written Language Disorders on Life Outcomes

This course will explore the critical connection between oral and written language disorders and the far-reaching consequences of limited access to effective intervention. Participants will attain a deeper comprehension of how untreated language and literacy difficulties can impact a child's academic, social, financial, and emotional future. Without proper intervention, these children face an increased risk of school failure, mental health challenges, legal issues, and diminished career opportunities. The session will also address the compounded impact of low socioeconomicstatus (SES) on access to quality treatment and the lifelongrepercussions of this gap.
