A Comprehensive Approach to Improve Motor Learning in Children
Cleveland, OH - Mar 27, 2026 (8:00 AM to 11:15 AM US/Eastern)
Price:$169.99
Evidence suggests that creating "positive experiences" surrounding motor skills may be beneficial to promoting self- esteem and ultimately intrinsic motivation to participate in physical activity (Ensrud-Skraastad && Haga, 2020). To ensure these constructive opportunities for clients, therapists must have a thorough understanding of motor learning, and the role that feedback and practice play. This course will detail all the variables involved in successful motor learning and discuss related evidence for various populations. Additionally, simulated labs will be incorporated to explicitly demonstrate these concepts to allow participants to effectively integrate motor learning into practice.
The content of this program is germane to children, students and clients ages 0- 18.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants

would have been more beneficial to have more of a school based approach integrated since we were a group of school based therapists.
