Additional Information

Technology and digital-based media is everywhere, and it is a necessary part of our lives. It is crucial for our children to know how to use technology and digital-based media in a healthy and balanced way as their brains and bodies aredeveloping. It is important to ensure our children are getting the physical movement, adequate sleep, and nutrition that their bodies need. Technology and digital-based media should not be the focus of an activity or replace relationships. Children need connection and interaction with others. Technology and digital-based media spark interest, and that is when joint engagement and co-viewing can have endless possibilities for our children. thank you nisha for the great research studies to back up the information as well as the very beneficial supplements and resources!

some of the slides were not part of the manual. since the instructor goes rapidly through resources, it would be better to have the slides in the manual for viewers to refer back to.

great and varied resources throughout! yet hard to keep focus since presenter kept fairly same tone throughout seminar and it just wasn't the most conducive way to learn overall the way that she presented it. adding some videos or questions or personal stories or case studies would have been very helpful and more engaging.

it is really important information. much of the presentation was of multiple parent resources, links, apps, etc and it was honestly too overwhelming for this digital immigrant to take in, and hard to see how one would choose from all this information to apply it in practice.
