Many studies have been completed which support the idea that social-emotional learning yields results including developing positive relationships, improved behaviors, and increased academic success. The soft skills children developthrough social-emotional learning will impact their employability and relationships developed for a lifetime. Therapists who have a better understanding of social- emotional development throughout childhood will help their clients to develop the groundwork to maximize their potential for the rest of their lives. This course will provide an overviewof social-emotional development from birth throughadolescence. Case studies will be used to provide the opportunity to apply knowledge learned to support the development of appropriate therapeutic interventions for children. Therapists will leave this course with a better understanding of social-emotional development to integrate into treatment planning when working with children ages birth through adolescence.

the presenter was very dry and low affect, making it difficult for sustained attention. the background honestly was poop brown, and just lacked energy and enthusiasm all together.

to many "ums". the videos were not helpful. this is obviously a smart instructor however did not get much out of the way she presented information. will take another similar course or revert back to books from college 20 years ago.

presentation was not of high interest to me. i found it slow and boring unfortunately. having to wait as she was looking\/waiting for questions and responses come thru added to my impression.
