Additional Information

Accurate Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) coding is essential for all home health clinicians due to the direct impact quality indicators will have on anagency's star rating. With the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) plan to move to a universal outcome measure for all post-acute settings, OASIS willbecome an important tool beyond home health. Payment through Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) and Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) are driven, at least in part, by improvement as measured through OASIS. This course will provide easy to use and understand methods that will improve a clinician's ability to provide correct coding to all OASIS-C and D (cognitive and mental health) items.

This course will provide sample questions throughout the course to ensure the participant's understanding. This live instructional format will provide ample opportunity to interact and ask questions of the instructor. Clinicians conducting OASIS assessments will immediately see improved understanding of accurate OASIS coding, as will those participating in collaborative assessments now allowed by CMS.

i anticipate questions on the test that were not covered in the 3 hour video as this is a common problem with summit courses. this practice is unfair to those of us only watching portions of longer courses.

good information and explanation of differences in similar codes%3b tone of voice felt like speaker was shouting\/yelling but i think just his personality

Rebecca (MO) on Dec 26, 2025

the instructor constantly walking up and down the aisle was extremely distracting online and i can't imagine how much worse it was in person. the instructor comes across as very full of himself which is also distracting, and he dwells on unrelated topics for several sentences too long.
