Additional Information

Chronic pain frequently limits work-life activities with recent CDC statistics estimating 20.4% of adults experiencing chronic pain in 2019. Pair that with nearly 50,000 people inthe United States dying from opioid overdose, it is clear healthcare providers have work to do. The question iswhat can we do better as clinicians to help these patients? Improving our understanding of the neuroscience around pain and being able to apply evidence in practice is a part of the solution. This course will provide you with a direct andsimplistic overview of neurobiology and neurophysiologyrelation to pain, present current pain neuroscience evidence, and teach clinical applications that can be immediatelyimplemented into your practice. the power point presentation should have been swapped with the video. it was more important to see his slides, than it was to see him pacing around the room.
