Jurisprudence for Indiana Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants

This course is designed for Indiana licensed physical therapist and certified physical therapist assistants and is intended to ensure the application of the laws that govern physical therapy practice in the state of Indiana. Participants will effectively apply laws within the Indiana Administrative Code to multiple areas within the scope of physical therapy practice including current practice standards, continuing competence requirements, and supervisory requirements of PTAs to ensure their practice is in compliance with all Indiana regulatory requirements. In addition, participants will learn to apply the APTA Code, Indiana Administrative Code, and the APTA Standards of Ethical conduct and the scope ofjurisprudence as it relates to current laws associated with physical therapy practice in the state of Indiana. This course was developed in accordance with the Indiana ethics andjurisprudence continuing education requirement defined by the Indiana administrative code.
