Pulmonary Rehab
Price:$99.99
Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is a medically supervised program designed to improve pulmonary health as well as health literacy related to pulmonary conditions and associated risk factors. PR has been shown to improve function and quality of life, reduce dyspnea, increase exercise and activity tolerance, and reduce hospitalizations. There is level 1 evidence supporting pulmonary rehab for patients with COPD and continued evidence evolving for the support of pulmonary rehab in other diseases such as interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, and pulmonary hypertension (Rochester et al, 2015), (Nici et al, 2005). The cycle of inactivity associated with dyspnea leads to frailty in pulmonary patients often leading to increased disease burden, risk of adverse events, risk of falls, all-cause mortality, and hospital admissions/re-admissions. This course will provide a summary of indications and qualifying diagnoses for pulmonary rehab. Attendees will discuss core measures vital to be included in all programs and those optional coremeasures. Immediately upon your return to the bedside or clinic, you will be more confident in treating pulmonary patients, establishing your exercise prescription, teaching self-management and self-assessment, and determining your program's efficacy.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants

info was good but some instructors, like this one, could benefit from a public speaking course. one thing that made it difficult to maintain my attention was the frequent use of "um". it was very annoying.

presenter used too many acronyms without explaining what they represented. misspoke without correcting. the presentation was flat. information seemed lacking detail.

the sound and close captions went out at 12 minutes and did not return until 1: 10 minutes. reset multiple time and still the same. not sure if issue on my end or yours.
