Price:$59.99
If we learned anything from the recent COVID-19pandemic, was the importance of having established policies and procedures to quickly manage respiratory infections. This includes having a thorough screening process, and actionable items to prevent the spread of infection. Respiratory infectious pathogens are not limited to COVID-19. During influenza season as well as, other respiratory infections staff and patients/residents will need to bemonitored for potential signs and symptoms. Preventive measures including but not limited to frequent hand washing, use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, covering your cough or sneeze, avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands and clean/disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces are a few strategies. In addition, to preventive measures the use of source control measures such as mask or respirators will be discussed as a potentialtool to prevent the spread of infection.
