A minor handwriting technique with a huge benefit is the use of the non-dominant hand to stabilize the paper while writing. The use of the non-dominant hand on the paper facilitate good handwriting posture, sensory feedback, and encourages bilateral coordination. Try placing one of these finger eye puppets on a finger from your student’s non-dominant hand. Instruct the child to allow the “Google Guy” to watch what you are writing.
